This is a great set of resources and analysis from the ongoing Embedding Conquest: Naturalising Muslim Rule in the Early Islamic Empire (600-1000) led by an interdisciplinary research team led by Petra Sijpesteijn at Leiden University.
The research continues to offer a great deal in the way of diverse documents and perspectives on the first centuries of Muslim rule in the Middle East and Central Asia.
